Intraoral Camera

An intraoral camera is a slim, pen-sized wand with a light and a lens at its tip. It moves comfortably around the mouth and sends magnified, high-resolution images to a screen right beside you. Nothing stays hidden behind a mirror or a clinician's shoulder — you see the same close-up view we see, while we see it, and can ask questions about exactly what is on the screen.

What the images show

  • Alignment and spacing — clear views of crowding, gaps, and how the bite comes together.
  • Appliance check — the condition of brackets, wires, and how aligners are seating between visits.
  • Soft tissue — irritation or build-up along the gum line that may need attention before or during treatment.
  • Progress records — images saved over time show how much has changed since the first appointment.

Part of a fuller picture

Photographs capture surface detail that other records cannot. Used alongside our digital panoramic x-ray, cephalometric imaging, digital impression scanning, and 3D treatment planning, they help round out the diagnostic picture and make discussions about options far more concrete for patients and parents alike.
